Large Investment bank requires an experienced Oracle Financials DBA to work on customer revenue generating projects for the banks account. Activities will include the deployment of a multi-site Oracle Financials Application environment ensuring that the relevant processes and procedures are adhered to. The successful candidate will work within the Open Systems DBA Group, and will be expected to work largely unsupervised when assigned to projects. Essential: 3-4 years Oracle Experience, Good DBA skills on Oracle 8i (9i a plus). Generic DBA skills – performance tuning, capacity, backups*restores. RMAN, 3-4 Years Apps DBA experience with Oracle Financials 11i. An understanding to a technical level of 9iAS components, Portal, Discoverer
Understanding the functional set-up of Financials, good patching skills for Financials. Knowledge of cloning (database, adclone, rapidclone). Oracle on Solaris (Good Unix skills - understands kernel tuning, export*backup scripts, etc). Oracle client tools set-up, Good documentation skills, Ability to work un-aided when needed, but the focus will be on teamwork. Desirable: Financial background. Functional knowledge of GL*AP*AR*FA*Purchasing modules. WebADI, iSetup, OFSA knowledge, Oracle 9iAS R1 or R2. Oracle Workflow
